Catholic schools offer students a quality education in an inclusive, caring and life-giving environment. Teaching and learning in our schools involves more than providing academic instruction. It is about nurturing the individual student - academically, spiritually, emotionally and physically - equipping them with the skills to be compassionate and contributing adults. There are 30 schools and colleges within the Townsville Diocese, which serve more than 11 500 students, including a growing Indigenous enrolment. Included in these 30 schools are three P-12 schools, three boarding colleges, two Religious Institute colleges and schools in remote locations. The Diocese now also offers Catholic-based childcare centres in Townsville, with others planned for the Diocese. Catholic education is thriving in the Townsville Diocese, with enrolments continuing to increase each year and a strong sense of community within each school and parish.
