How long have you been a teacher?
I began teaching in term 2, 2021. I am currently in my second year of teaching.

What made you want to become a teacher?
I have always loved sport and had amazing PE teachers when I was at school that motivated me, so I wanted to have that same effect on students.

What's your favourite thing about teaching?
Seeing the success of students, whether it is in a sporting environment or in the classroom.

When did you join the Gold Stars?
I joined the Gold Stars in 2019, however I underwent a knee reconstruction so only debuted for them this year.

How long have you been playing footy?
I only started officially playing footy in 2018, though I have grown up playing in the backyard with my three older brothers.

What's your favourite part of being a Gold Star?
The experience of it all and playing at a competitive level has been great. Being able to share my experience and knowledge with my students is also very special.

How has your sporting career helped your teaching career?
My previous sporting careers have helped me immensely in my career as a teacher as I can use my previous sporting knowledge and share that among the students. I am very grateful for the experience and able to act as a role model to my students.

What advice do you have for young girls?
As a young girl nowadays there are more and more pathways approaching everyday for you to pursue your sporting dream. Be extremely grateful for every opportunity that you receive and enjoy every moment of it.
