What is Indigenous Youth Leadership Program (IYLP)?

The Indigenous Youth Leadership Program (IYLP) is a Secondary Scholarship program that aims to provide Indigenous students (Yrs 8-12) with the opportunity to pursue quality educational and leadership opportunities.

 IYLP objectives:

IYLP aspires to address Indigenous educational disadvantage through its support for successful learning, role-modelling, partnerships with schools and communities, ensuring that the program:

• Meets the varied needs of scholarship recipients;
• Assists participating schools to continously improve education outcomes for Indigenous students; and
• Helps students develop their leadership skills and attributes.

Townsville Catholic Education is proud to be a partnership broker with Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR) for the Indigenous Youth Leadership Program (IYLP).
