INTRODUCTIONSt Joseph's Catholic School, Cloncurry was founded in October 1909, some months after Mother Mary MacKillop decided to send a community of her Sisters of St Joseph to the town. In the early years schooling took place in the presbytery, in a shed and in the church until a school was opened in 1913. The Sisters taught and administered the School until 1996. The first lay principal was Mr Robert Doohan. St Joseph's School - Cloncurry
