What is the Emerging Leaders Incentive Scheme?
ALL secondary Indigenous students enrolled at Townsville Catholic Education colleges are eligible to apply for a fee and uniform subsidy.
We believe that the Emerging Leaders Incentive Scheme provides a more equitable model of financial support than traditional scholarships, whilst preparing our Emerging Leaders for safe and strong communities.
The incentive scheme is based on three pillars of:
Students can move through incentive stages each year based on completion of certain criteria under each of the pillars. The Incentive Scheme is setting High Expectations for our Indigenous students and families whilst rewarding and promoting a culture of high attendance, academic improvement and students fully engaged in their schooling and community.
- This is a reimbursement model - parents and families are required to keep receipts as they purchase goods and/or services towards their child’s Incentive Goal as set in the Agreement.
- Goals cannot be changed without the written consent of the nominated staff member at the College and the Townsville Catholic Education Project Manager.
- Townsville Catholic Education has the right to amend the program and its requirements when deemed necessary.
- This project is set to run from 2018 to 2020 inclusive.
