Indigenous Youth Leadership Project

Update - As of 2016, Townsville Catholic Education Office will not be offering any new IYLP scholarships.  Current scholars will be supported until the end of December 2017.
 

What is Indigenous Youth Leadership Project (IYLP)?

The Indigenous Youth Leadership Project (IYLP) is a Secondary Scholarship program that aims to provide Indigenous students with the opportunity to pursue quality educational and leadership opportunities.

 IYLP objectives:

IYLP aspires to address Indigenous educational disadvantage through its support for successful learning, role-modelling, partnerships with schools and communities, ensuring that the program:

• Meets the varied needs of scholarship recipients;
• Assists participating schools to continuously improve education outcomes for Indigenous students; and
• Helps students develop their leadership skills and attributes.
