Celebrating 50 years of Climbing the Mountain

Marian Catholic School, Currajong is calling all past students and Old Boys to help celebrate 50 years of ‘Climbing the Mountain’. The Mountathon event is a climb by the students and teachers who track up to Mount Stuart resulting in a 9 km walk.

The Mountathon started back in St John Fisher days where the boys would walk up and down the mountain, whereas these days the students ride back down on buses.

The event has been one the school’s major fundraisers and over the years the school community has greatly benefited from this event. Marian Catholic School has been able to purchase their school bus, built a covered basketball court, installed rainwater tanks and solar panels, and this year the tuckshop will be refurbished.
