iLibrary Overview

The iLibrary is the district library of the Townsville Catholic Education Office, and forms part of a linked library network with our 29 school libraries.

One of its main aims is to support those involved in Religious Education in schools, parishes and homes, by providing appropriate, good quality resources supported by professional consultancy services. The iLibrary also supports the resource and information needs of those undertaking Religious Studies and the staff and initiatives within the Townsville Catholic Education Office itself.  In addition to the Religious Collection, the iLibrary also houses the following collections:

  • Curriculum Collection
  • Indigenous Collection
  • Student Support Collection 
  • School Administration Collection
  • Putney Collection
  • House of Prayer Collection 

The Collection

The iLibrary collections consist of over 15,000 physical and digital items including books. ebooks magazines and journals, databases and kits. 

While the main focus is on resources for Townsville Catholic Education Office staff and the staff and students of our schools, there are titles for parish and other Catholic agencies use and for all age levels.

Where to find us

The iLIbrary's physical collection  is located in Rosario Centre on the Townsville Catholic Education Complex at 2 Gardenia Avenue, Kirwan.

Digital resources can be accessed through the iLibrary's online Destiny District portal.

Visits can be made to the iLibrary by arrangement through contacting the Information and Resources Adviser, Julianne Cervellin at the Townsville Catholic Education Office.
