It's almost quiz time!

A record number of teams have entered into the 2019 ‘Quest for Knowledge’ competition, to be held at Holy Spirit Catholic School, Cranbrook on Tuesday 11 June 2019.

16 teams made up of Year 6 students from all schools around the Townsville Diocese will compete in an “It’s Academic” style quiz, using a ‘first-in’ buzzer method answering a series of questions which cover literacy, numeracy and general knowledge (including areas such as science, history, religious studies, Indigenous studies and current affairs). Schools have held their own in-house competitions prior to the event, to determine their quiz team members and the students who will represent their school in the Quest for Knowledge finals.

Ross Horner, Townsville Catholic Education Director of School Development Services said the students have been brushing up on their general knowledge and spending a lot of time researching online.
