Official Blessing of St Benedict's Catholic School site

The blessing of Townsville’s newest school will be held Wednesday 19 April where Parish Priest, Fr Dave Lancini from The Ministerial Region of the Good Shepherd Parish will bless the site.
This will officially mark the start of stage one of St Benedict’s Catholic School, Shaw.

Jackson Semler will construct the new multi-million dollar school with construction due for completion in December 2017 and St Benedict’s due to open in time for the 2018 school year.

“The Blessing will mark an important milestone in our journey,” said Penny Collins, St Benedict’s Catholic School Principal.

“The new school will strive to foster an environment that actively encourages student involvement in the learning process. Stage One will include nine classrooms, administration block, canteen, sports area, technology space and learning support.”
