St Michael's Catholic School on Palm Island was established in 1938 to support the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community.
Today the school is located on the outer rim of the main residential area of the island, scenically framed by beaches, a creek and green hills.
St Michael’s School has an enrolment of 135 students from Prep to Year 6, a committed staff and strong relationship with St Anne's Catholic Parish and the local community.
Palm Island has a resident population of approximately 2000 and is accessible via ferry or air from Townsville.
