Warriors for the Environment

The Eco Warriors are in town, ready to fight to protect our environment with this year’s theme being ‘Warriors for the Environment’.

More than 80 Eco Warriors from Catholic Schools in the Townsville Diocese will continue their impressive environmental work when they meet for their seventh annual conference on Friday 28 July 2017.

Eco Warriors are students from years 4 to 6 who focus on environmental sustainability through education and action. Their conference is held each year during Catholic Education Week.

The students will attend mini, hands-on workshops which are centred on learning how to live sustainably and care for creation.

One of the workshops will include a Q&A with CSIRO scientists where students will get to hear about the cutting edge science research being conducted by CSIRO scientists. The workshop will also focus on climate change and the possible impacts of a changing climate.
